Transcription: Also called Monument Plant, the Green Gentian has four lobed yellowish green corollas in axles of upper leaves all on one stout tall stem. It flowers from May to August and is found in rich soil in woods and open areas from upper montane to lower subalpine zones in the mountains. The Green Gentian occurs from eastern Washington east to western Texas and Montana. It is good browse for deer and elk, especially the basil leaves.
